Lisa Belcastro recorded a season-high 18 saves before Millersville scored a game-winning goal in the second overtime to defeat Slippery Rock 1-0 Saturday

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Millersville scored in the first minute of the second overtime period to defeat Slippery Rock 1-0 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover field hockey game Saturday at Thompson Stadium.

Lisa Belcastro was excellent in goal, recording 18 saves before allowing the game-winner in the 86th minute when Emily Woodland found the back of the net on an unassisted goal.
The Rock was led by Samanta Badaczewski with four total shots, including three shots on goal. Badaczewski nearly ended the game for Slippery Rock in the first overtime when her shot went just wide of the net and hit the outside of the cage.
Millersville finished the game with advantages of 24-7 in total shots, 19-6 in shots on goal and 28-5 in penalty corners.
Sara Dickinson recorded six saves to earn the shutout win for the Marauders.
With the loss, Slippery Rock drops to 2-12 overall. Millersville improves to 7-7.
The Rock is back in action tomorrow with a 12 p.m. matchup against Kutztown.
