The Rock will visit PSAC rival Mansfield for a 4 p.m. game Oct. 27 to make up the game postponed from last Saturday
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- The Slippery Rock University women's field hockey team will travel to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Mansfield University for a 4 p.m. game Oct. 27, according to SRU Assistant to the Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Pearl Shaffer.
That is the makeup date for a game originally scheduled for last Saturday but postponed due to unplayable field conditions.
The game at Mansfield will be the season finale for SRU.
Prior to that game, The Rock will visit Mercyhurst College in Erie for a 4 p.m. game Wednesday, then host Bellarmine College of Kentucky in a 6 p.m. game Saturday on Bob DiSpirito Field at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium.
The game vs. Bellarmine will be the final home game of the season for the Green and White, who currently own a 2-15 overall record and a 1-5 PSAC-Western DIvision mark.
One of The Rock's wins was a 4-3 decision Sept. 22 vs. Mansfield at Thompson Stadium. Sophomore forward
Rebecca Coleman scored three goals to lead The Rock to victory in that game. She is one of five Rock players tied for the team's scoring lead with seven points.
