WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- Slippery Rock University junior center
Brandon Fusco added another impressive honor to his collection Wednesday when he was named as a first-team Daktronics, Inc., All-Super Region One performer in voting by the region's NCAA Division II sports information directors.
The all-region honor came a few days after Fusco
finished third in this year's Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Super Region One competition and on the heels of his selection for a second consecutive season as a first-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference-Western Division performer.
Fusco, a Cranberry Township native and Seneca Valley High School graduate, has been a starter at center for all three of his collegiate campaigns after being redshirted as a true freshman in 2006.
The all-region honor was the first received by Fusco.
The NCAA's Division II Super Region One consists of schools competing in four conferences: Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Northeast-10 Conference, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
