KANSAS CITY – Slippery Rock University women's soccer standout Alison Hindley has been named to second team All-Atlantic Region honors by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

The NSCAA All-Region teams are selected by the head coaches in each region.

The second team honor is the second postseason accolade for Hindley this season after the junior forward was also named to second team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference honors.

Hindley finished the 2009 season second on the team in scoring with seven goals and four assists for 18 points. She netted two game-winning goals and led all starters in shot percentage at .167. This is her second consecutive NSCAA All-Region honor, as she was named to first team accolades last season.

Hindley's scoring totals from this season moved her into fourth on the all-time ledger for career points and goals at Slippery Rock with totals of 31 goals and 67 points.

Slippery Rock closed its 2009 season with an overall record of 10-5-3, the program's 14th consecutive winning season under the direction of head coach Noreen Herlihy.
