Jeff Weiss closed his prestigious collegiate career Saturday night with an 12th-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division II National Championships at San Angelo State University.
Wiess, who earned his seventh career All-America honor Thursday night in the 10,000-meter run with a fifth-place finish, placed 12th in the finals of the 5,000-meter run Saturday night with a time of 14:48.35.
The senior standout from Avella, Pa. earned four consecutive All-America honors in cross country and earned three All-America honors in the 10,000m during his outdoor seasons at The Rock.
Saturday was the final day of the National Championships and concluded Slippery Rock’s season.
