Rock drops 3-0 decision at Clarion

CLARION, Pa. -- Sophomore outside hitter Kaylee Smith recorded nine kills and 14 digs Tuesday to lead the Slippery Rock University women's volleyball team's effort in a 3-0 loss at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival Clarion University.
Freshman outside hitter Kristin Slavoski added seven kills for SRU (6-11 overall, 2-3 PSAC), while senior defensive specialist Stacey Domer had two service aces and 14 digs and junior setter/defensive specialist Anna Bixler had 17 assists and 11 digs.
Game scores were 25-20, 25-22 and 25-19 in favor of the hosting Golden Eagles, who improved their season record to 14-2 and upped their PSAC mark to 5-0.
The Rock's next match will be a 7 p.m. Friday date at conference rival Mercyhurst College in Erie.
