SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Slippery Rock University women's soccer team scored five unanswered goals to run away with a 5-1 win over Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference action Wednesday at James Egli Field.
With the win, Slippery Rock improves to 7-3 overall and 4-3 in PSAC games. Bloomsburg drops to 4-6 overall and 2-5 in league play.
The Rock dominated Wednesday's game with advantages of 33-3 in total shots, 18-3 in shots on goal and 12-0 in corner kicks. The Huskies lone scoring chance came on their first shot attempt when Lauren Kreglow put a free kick into the upper right corner of the net with a free kick in the 20th minute.
Slippery Rock regained control and tied the game in the 41st minute to send it to halftime all even at 1-1. The Rock put the pressure on early in the second half, opening with a 12-0 edge in shots in the first 12 minutes before breaking through with four goals in just over a 10 minute stretch to seal the win.

earned the win in goal for SRU, recording three saves. Danielle Fiorelli finished the game with 11 saves for Bloomsburg, while the Huskies team defense was also credited with two saves in the loss.
Flatley brought Slippery Rock back into the game at the 40:47 mark when she scored her first goal of the season, flicking the ball over the keeper after taking a pass in the box from Impey.
Hannon notched her sixth of the game and what would become the game-winner in the 61st minute, beating the keeper low after Henny sent a cross into the box that Brosky headed to her foot for the double assist.
Krueger added to the lead in the 68th minute when she scored her first goal of the year with a header off a cross from Hannon.
Henny made it 4-1 just 1:03 later when she chipped the ball over the keeper after taking a pass along the left side from Brosky.
Hannon capped the scoring with her seventh goal of the year in the 72nd minute when she teamed with Ward on a two-on-one breakaway.
After the fifth goal, Slippery Rock pulled its starting 10 field players. The reserves allowed just two shots and no solid scoring chances the rest of the way. The Rock finished the game with a total of 21 players seeing time.
Slippery Rock will travel to East Stroudsburg Saturday night for a PSAC match. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
