SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Torry Rollins, a former Assistant Athletic Director for Business Affairs at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named as Associate Athletic Director at Slippery Rock University.

Rollins will begin working at SRU April 2, according to Paul Lueken, SRU's director of athletics.

“We are very excited to have Torry join our athletic administrative team,” Lueken said. “He has a wealth of experience overseeing the business operations of a successful Division I athletic program. Torry also brings experience as a former coach and student-athlete in the PSAC and grew up in the Pittsburgh area, so his familiarity with the surrounding area is an added bonus to Rock Athletics.”

During his four-year career as assistant AD at Southeast Missouri State, Rollins managed an $8 million athletics budget for a program that included 15 NCAA Division I sports, including FCS Football.

Prior to joining the Southeast Missouri State staff, Rollins worked as the Fiscal Officer for Cuyahoga County, the largest local government budget in the state of Ohio. His responsibilities included managing, adjusting and analyzing a $66 million budget consisting of 17 departments.

Rollins also served as the assistant men's basketball coach at Lakeland Community College in Kirtland, Ohio, from 2003-07. Included in his duties as assistant coach, was recruiting coordinator. Over his final two seasons the team posted a .766 winning percentage.

Rollins graduated from Edinboro University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 1992. He competed for the Fighting Scots basketball team as an undergraduate and later became a graduate assistant for the squad. In addition, he served as a color commentator for the men's and women's basketball teams.

In 1994, he earned his Master of Arts in communication studies from his alma mater and, in 2002, received his MBA from Cleveland State University.

He and his wife, Antoinette, have a son, Devon, and daughter, Dominique.
