This is the second in a series of journal entries that will be posted throughout the next week chronicling The Rock women's lacrosse team's spring break trip to Myrtle Beach.
Sunday, March 17
This is Lacey, Morgan and Gigi reporting from the beautiful residence of Spiffy Digs in Myrtle Beach. Our spring break trip has been an extremely fun time so far. Today we started our day off by watching the sun rise over the beach in a cornucopia of red, orange and yellow hues.
We had two practices today in the once again perfect lacrosse weather. In our first practice, we continued to work on our plays and transitions.
Our second practice went much better, concentrating more on individual goals and positivity overall, where we came out looking dazzlingly snazzy in all-out green attire for St. Patrick's Day! Locals were doing double takes from the sheer amount of green, leprechauns, Blarney stones, orange hair and shamrocks radiating from our very pores.
It was an exhausting day with lots of lax and sun! We than had time to relax, eat pasta and turkey meatballs that the freshmen and sophomores made!! While waiting for them to be done cooking, our team gathered in the living room to watch the men's basketball team compete in their playoff game. It was a heartbreaking loss but just gave our whole team more fuel for this spring.
The end the night before everyone went to snuggle in their beds awaiting tomorrow's day off, #rocklax idol took place. There were a variety of songs that were sung in the living room of Spiffy Digs that included: hits of the 80s, 90s and now. Who knew we could play lacrosse and sing? (not really.) Congrats however to our first official #rocklax Idol,
Kristen McGrath! She drives a hard competition for next year.
The sun rises again tomorrow and we will let you know what the day brings!
Love,
The Terrible Two + Gigi
