Hey Everyone,

This is Brandon Fusco, senior offensive center on The Rock football team. This is the first of what I plan to be many blogs to keep you all updated on and give you a behind-the-scenes look at my path to making it to the NFL. I plan to write an update twice a week, so hopefully you guys keep up on it.

This year has been the most stressful and craziest year of the my football career. Every day it seems to get a little harder. It’s a lot to take in. Almost about everyday around 11 o clock a.m., an NFL scout comes to talk to me in the football office. Most of them will show up to practice to get a visual of what I am like on the field as well. They want to get to know your family background, personal life, what kind of person you are and your knowledge of the game of football. Every team has come to visit me at the school except one, the Denver Broncos. Multiple teams have made a couple visits, so that’s definitely a good sign. I have been getting nothing but positive feedback from all of them and that’s good to hear from professional scouts. This week, the Buffalo Bills and Oakland Raiders came to the school and said they were very impressed with my film and how I play, so I'm very excited about that.

The scouts are not the only thing I have been dealing with. I’ve been getting calls everyday from sport agents These guys are the most annoying people I think I ever had to deal with. They just bug you by trying to convince you their firm is better and saying I should go with them. They all tell you stuff you want to hear, but I know it's mostly garbage. Most of them, the only thing they want is $$$. It’s a tough process right now that I am going through to figure out who is the best one for me and the most honest. Luckily, my parents and coaches are helping me through the process as well.

Now, talking about the season. This year has had its ups and downs. We started the season at 5-1 for the second consecutive year and it's been going down since that. We have lost some tough, close games and it seems like things just weren’t going our way. Now with my final game coming up Saturday, it's been an emotional week for me as a senior player. Knowing it's my last time wearing the Green and White and being out there in front of the home crowd is something hard to think about. You, the fans, have been great all year and, on behalf of the team, we thank you. I hope to see everyone Saturday afternoon at the game so it's something all of us seniors won't ever forget.

Thanks, and GO ROCK!!
